Pneumatic Piano Bench

A wonderful new concept for piano benches! This is a Pneumatic Piano Bench (also known as hydraulic), allowing for quick and easy adjustment with a simple turn of the knob on the side of the bench. With a beautiful polished ebony finish, this bench combines the handiness of the hydraulic mechanism with a luxurious tufted upholstered top, as you'd find on high end artist benches (you'll notice other hydraulic benches only have a flat vinyl top). The cushion for this piano bench is 27" long by 14" Wide. It comes with 11 deep diamond tufted buttons with a premium quality synthetic leather (vinyl) top. The bench adjusts in height from: 18" to 22.5"--which gives a top adjustment height option taller than most piano benches, which typically adjust from 18" to 21".

Pneumatic vs Hydraulic -- The Adjustment Mechasnism:

The lift mechanism is called pneumatic, as it is controlled by two nitrogen gas cylinders. Hydraulic benches, operating on the same principle, use oil based cylinders. By turning the knob half way the cylinders are activated and the bench will go down if you are sitting on the bench and if not it will raise up (similiar to an office chair). The average weight required for the mechanism to work is 100lbs., thus a child cannot adjust the bench down easily. You have to sit on the bench or help them by applying pressure on the cushion for the seat to go down.
